Importer Security Filing (ISF) – 10+2

Dear Valued Customer:

The Importer Security Filing Rule has been issued by the United States Government to fulfill the SAFE Port Act of 2006 statutory mandate (enacted by the U.S. Congress) and to increase the security of cargo entering the United States via vessel by improving CBP’s risk assessment capabilities.

All shipments made into the United States are now required to electronically send the ISF 10 + 2 data elements to the U.S. Customs Department.

The SAFE Port Act mandates Customs & Border Protection (CBP) to collect 10 more data elements, in addition to the AMS data already filed, and transmit them no less than 24 hours prior to shipment lading on-board vessel, for the purpose of improving the screening process of import cargo security.

Purchase Partners understands the requirements of the SAFE Port Act and is confident that we will successfully meet all requirements so we may be able t continue providing you the best service levels possible.

Sincerely,

Management
